Catholic Culture Institute
Background: Established 19 June 2026, the CCI is a Not-For-Profit Charity registered with the Australian Not-For-Profits Commission (ACNC) and seeks to promote the following cultural forms:
a) Catholic literature;
b) Catholic music;
c) Catholic community and performing arts;
d) Catholic visual arts;
e) sacred architecture and design (non-commercial);
f) Catholic book illustration, graphic design and digital design;
g) Catholic film and video;
h) Catholic historical exhibitions;
i) Catholic cultural youth clubs;
j) the preservation and interpretation of Catholic cultural heritage.
Our goal is to advance culture for the benefit of all Australians through the transformative power of the true, the beautiful and the good, made manifest through various cultural expressions.
To achieve our purposes, we propose to undertake and support activities in the following areas:

a) establishing and operating Catholic libraries;
b) conducting book festivals;
c) conducting public lectures, readings and poetry recitals;
d) promoting Catholic cultural scholarship, learning and studies.

a) training in Gregorian Chant, hymnody and other forms of sacred music;
b) organising community choirs;
c) conducting sacred music programmes, including Christmas carols;
d) organ recitals;
e) singing workshops and tutoring;
f) Catholic music education.

a) concerts and dances;
b) amateur concerts, dramas, plays, musicals, storytelling events and circuses;
c) cultural festivals and public performances.

a) painting classes;
b) sculpture projects;
c) photography workshops;
d) iconography workshops;
e) religious art exhibitions.

a) Catholic cultural youth clubs;
b) children's art and craft programmes;
c) activities designed to foster Catholic cultural formation among young people.

a) sacred architecture and design lectures and workshops;
b) training in traditional building crafts associated with sacred buildings and furnishings;
c) stained-glass workshops;
d) woodworking and liturgical arts workshops;
e) bell founding;
f) mosaic production;
g) vestment making.

c) Catholic digital design;
d) Catholic film and video production;
e) community film and documentary screenings.

a) Catholic historical exhibitions;
b) Catholic historical studies and presentations including Australian Catholic history;
c) preserving works of Catholic art;
d) preserving Catholic historical artefacts and heritage items.

b) awarding grants;
c) awarding commissions;
d) awarding prizes and cultural awards to Catholic artists, students and cultural contributors;
e) supporting other activities that preserve, advance or develop Catholic culture through sponsorship or in other ways.

a) raising funds for venues dedicated primarily to Catholic cultural activities;
b) acquiring, maintaining and operating facilities used primarily for Catholic cultural purposes.
