In January 2026, the Pastoral Council and the Finance Council met to look at the pastoral and financial aspects of the Design Concept currently under development. After some adjustments are worked into the plan, it is planned that on Sunday 1 February the architect’s design concept will be able to be shared with the whole parish along with some accompanying information about the project. The parish Pledge-Giving Night for the purpose of raising funds for the project is set for Saturday 7 February. Bishop Mark Edwards has indicated he will be in attendance. There will be a BBQ with those attending asked to bring a salad and desert to share. The sausages and steaks have been donated. There will be an opportunity to hear a presentation about the project, to see the hall pegged out in situ and some displays, along with a time of pledge-giving and fundraising. Please consider inviting members of your family, friends and the community who may be interested in the project. For 2026 we are also establishing a “building committee” to assist with the practicalities of the planning & building process. If you would like to be a part of the committee please speak with Fr. Darlow. The committee’s first job will be a working bee on the morning of Saturday 7 February to peg out the parish hall design and set up the site in preparation for the evening function.

6.00pm MC opens the night, Bishop to pray Grace, dinner commences
6.45pm Presentations, pledging (anonymous) & fundraising
7.45pm Dessert
8.00pm Final presentations, pledging (anonymous) & fundraising
8.45pm Official Closing of the Night
